ALL FIELD PRODUCTS FROM ONE PRODUCER ONLY
For more than four generations now our family business has been cultivating vegetables. Sören Beckmann became managing director in 2007 – and ever since it is his aim to react flexibly and reliably to any wishes customers might have.
We focus on cultivating and shipping various cole crops as well as rutabaga, leek, celery, snack carrots and carrots. Using vertical integration - that is, cultivation, harvest, storage, packaging, marketing and logistics by one producer only - enables us to maintain top quality at every stage of production.
Our cole crops and our carrots come from Friedrichskoog at the North Sea, from the largest continuous cole crops cultivation area in Europe. There we cultivate our vegetables in accordance with the principles of integrated farming systems (IFS), environmentally friendly and efficiently. The land that was only reclaimed from the Wadden Sea at the beginning of the 19th century, is perfectly suited for growing vegetables.
Beginning in June, we harvest cole crops and carrots - carrots by machines, cole by hand. The products are then brought directly to the cold storage warehouse where they are stored until further processing.
Stock products are stored in a refrigerated warehouse where they are kept - thanks to intelligent refrigerating systems - constantly at a temperature between 0.3° and 0.8° C (32,5° to 33,4° F) - ideal for long storage life while maintaining the best possible quality. For hygienic reasons here we use mainly metal boxes, for these provide almost aseptic surroundings, as wooden boxes do not.
Coles and carrots are processed only right before they are transported to customers. This is possible only because, as far as possible, we clean cole and process carrots automatically, so amounts can be planned flexibly.
We market our products via different distribution channels. Amongst our customers are organized food retailers as well as food processing and exporting companies.
We use our own reefers to deliver our goods, cooperate closely with selected transport companies and can therefore guarantee our customers that goods will be delivered at short notice and flexibly. Extensive refrigerating capacities ensure that our customers are supplied throughout the year.
White cabbage, pointed cabbage, red cabbage, savoy cabbage and cauliflower as well as rutabaga, leek, snack carrots and carrots.
From field to shop
Consumers want to know by whom, how and when their food was produced. Rightly so! This is why producing clean, healthy and premium vegetables is our top priority. And we guarantee retraceability of our vegetables from field to shop.
Consumers want absolutely safe vegetables.
We make sure of that by adhering to national as well as international quality standards.
